Placement Coordinators Role In Fit Testing

As placement coordinators, you play a pivotal role in the education and training of future healthcare professionals. One of your key responsibilities is to ensure that students are able to attend clinical placements to obtain the required knowledge and experience to thrive in their studies, this is where N95 Fit Test comes in. Clinical students are required to undergo fit testing prior to their placements to ensure they meet the WorkSafe and OH&S standards, but most importantly to ensure they have a safe, effective and comfortable respirator.

The N95 Fit Test: What Does It Involve

Our N95 Fit Test involves a simple yet thorough process that ensures each student's mask fits correctly and provides optimal protection. The test checks for a proper seal between the respirator's facepiece and the student’s face using a quantitative CNC machine.

We spend extra time with students to go over correct donning / doffing of respirators and testing multiple masks per student to ensure they have multiple fits.

This helps prevent placement hosts from rejecting placements due to incorrect masks and allows students to have a choice in which mask they prefer to wear.
